Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to get a Piercing?

Standard body piercings are $45 + Jewelry. Most start around $65. For more details check out our Prices page.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, We are currently Appointment Only. Please Click ‘Book an Appointment’ to get started.

Can I use a school ID or work ID as identification?

No, we need a valid government issued ID such as a drivers license, passport, military ID, green card or resident alien card. It must be valid and not expired.

If I am a minor, can I bring a note from my parents?

No, the parent or legal guardian must be present when the piercing is performed, and you BOTH must have valid ID.

Will you pierce me with a ring?

Most Piercings won’t heal properly with a ring. To avoid bumps and healing problems, we first pierce you with a stud. Then, after you are finished healing, you can switch to a ring. The ONLY piercings we will start with a ring are: Daith, Septum, Smiley, Tongue Web, and select Genital piercings.

Can I stretch more than one size?

No, when stretching your earlobes, it takes a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for the stretched tissue to heal enough to not rip or tear on your next stretch. Take it from me, I lost my earlobes by overstretching and damaging my ears. A proper stretch shouldn’t hurt. Stretching other piercings may take longer between stretches. Patience and listening to your body is the key.

Can I go swimming with a new piercing?

No, it is a bad idea. The piercing is considered an open wound and is far more likely to get infected. If you must go swimming I suggest you use a completely sealed waterproof bandage (like a Tegaderm patch, available at Piercing Vegas). You could end up with a bacterial or staph infection if you don’t.

How long can I keep my jewelry out?

If your piercing isn’t fully healed, it will most likely close very quickly. If it is healed it might stay open for a while, or it might not. Everyone is different. I suggest wearing a piercing retainer.

I have allergies to all metals but gold, Do you carry gold?

Yes, We have a beautiful selection of Gold for a variety of piercings, but chances are, you can wear metals other than just Gold. Metal reactions are usually due to low quality steel and “mystery metals” that many shops and stores carry, because they only cost a few pennies each. At Piercing Vegas we don’t use anything but the highest quality Titanium, Niobium, and Gold. All very unlikely to give you a reaction.

I have an operation or medical procedure coming up, should I get pierced?

No, Healing a piercing takes time and if you’re getting an operation, you should just let your body heal that first instead of trying to heal multiple wounds/piercings.

Can I get a deal?

Sure. If you get more than one piercing of a similar type (Set of nipples, additional cartilage or multiple lips), the second, and third, are only $20 per additional piercing plus the jewelry. (Max 3 per sitting)

When can I change or downsize my jewelry?

Patience is the key, for some oral piercings you want to downsize in 2 to 4 weeks. If the piercing is still swollen or irritated, its best to wait. It needs to be fully healed before you can start changing it. Most piercings take a minimum of 2 or 3 months before you should start changing them out or wearing a retainer to hide it. The better you take care of it, the better and faster it will heal.

Can I bring my own Jewelry?

No. We have very high standards for the materials, size, polish and threading of the jewelry we carry. We can only pierce with our own sterilized jewelry.

I have allergies to latex, do you use latex gloves?

No, we use only Nitrile gloves.

Can I get multiple piercings at once?

If you’re up to it! At Piercing Vegas we allow up to 3 piercings in one sitting. (May be fewer on special sale days)

Can I drink alcohol before my Piercing?

No, it’s a bad idea. Alcohol makes you bleed more and it’s illegal.

“4.2 Body piercing must not be performed on any person under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The Health Permittee and technician are charged with the responsibility of making reasonable observations and inquiries to assure themselves that the patron is in fact sober and not under the influence of intoxicating substances.”
